David Quinn

20 years old, all American, David is heading to Vietnam when he meets and falls in love with Annabelle Bennet, who's on her way to Cornell. A year later, having served his tour of duty, tortured by what he's seen in war and eager to reconnect with the woman he loves, David finds Annabelle amid the crowds at Woodstock, where they rekindle their love-a bit uneasily, since Annabelle has joined an anti-war group. David makes plans to go to Canada rather than face his second tour, a decision that costs him his life.
