Bennett's confession

Valens : I've been looking through your yearbook, Bennett. You and Janie are all over it.

Rush : "Best Couple." Prom king and queen?

Bennett : Junior and senior prom.

Valens : Ah, must've been great.

Bennett : Yeah.

Valens : Me, I can't keep a girl's attention longer than three months.
(he's obviously lying because he's been with his girlfriend since age 14)

Rush : I've never been lucky in love either.

Bennett : I wouldn't call it "luck."

Valens : Fate?

Bennett : That's closer. Jane and I used to say that we were as... we were as rare as Halley's Comet.

Rush : That's amazing.

Valens : Too bad you ruined it with that fling with Paige.

Bennett : I didn't ruin it.

Valens : No? How do you make up for some like that?

Bennett : We figured out a way.

Rush : How? I got no chance at Halley's Comet... neither does he... so we really need you to help us understand.

Bennett : We made a plan.
