Annabelle Bennet
60, poised, refined, a master at navigating political potholes, Annabelle is a liberal congresswoman who assumes Ryan Cavanaugh is there trying to strongarm her because she chairs the subcommittee that votes on Bureau funding. She is a bit taken aback that they're investigating the death of a young man from her hippie days, and she tells them about her time with David Quinn and anti-war protestor Reuben Harris at Woodstock. Somewhat nostalgic and a bit sad about those younger days and her lost love, Annabelle is later confronted with something from her past she'd rather not remember: that she worked as an informant for the FBI.
In 1969: 19-20 years old, beautiful, smart, interesting, appealing, Annabelle is on the train to her first year at Cornell when she meets and falls in love with David, a young soldier off to Vietnam. A year later, Annabelle is working with an anti-war group and having a relationship with the group's leader, Reuben Harris, when David comes home and finds her changed into a hippie named Daisy who's among the concert-goers at Woodstock. Shocked and surprised by his presence, Annabelle is obviously still drawn to him, and comes between David and Reuben, making her choice clear.
